The founder

Why a surgeon built Personally.

Personally was built by Dr Jatin Joshi: a surgeon who went looking for the evidence behind his own supplements, and built the system he couldn’t buy.

Founding story

The doctor who
refused to accept average.

Most supplement companies start with a product. Personally started with a question: why is health built around averages? It was a question Dr Jatin Joshi, a surgeon and Honorary Professor of Surgery at UCL who researches the evaluation of evidence at Oxford’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, could not stop asking.

He had spent years inside systems designed to improve human health. Yet when his own body changed, he met the frustration millions face: generic answers, generic formulas, advice that never kept pace with life. Everything built for someone, but not for him.

He saw an industry of static assumptions, and believed one thing was missing: adaptation. The ability for health to respond, for nutrition to evolve, for support to keep up. So he built the thing he wished existed, not a supplement, but a system, around a single truth: there is no average body.

Personally exists because one doctor refused to accept average.

On the record

Credentials we’d rather
state than sell.

Personally is the work of someone the supplement industry doesn’t usually attract.

At the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, his research asks what to do when different kinds of evidence point in different directions. The same question sits under every Personally formula.

What if supplements were held to the same standard of evidence, for safety and for efficacy, as medicine?Dr Jatin Joshi

None of this is the reason to trust Personally. It’s the reason the work is careful.

The invention

Dr Jatin Joshi didn’t just build the company.
He invented the system it runs on.

Personalizing a formula for one person is one thing. Building it at the ingredient level, reformulating it every month, and weighing it individually for every person is another. That system is what Dr Jatin patented.

United States Patent · GrantedUS 11,710,551

What he patented: turning your data into your recipe.

United States Patent · GrantedUS 12,580,067

And making it: every Formula weighed for one person, not a batch.

  • Each ingredient set to its own dose
  • Your formula reassessed every month
  • Every Formula made for one person, not a batch

Both granted, and in force. We don’t lead with them. But when a brand says it adapts to you, a patent is the difference between engineering and a word on a label.

The thinking

A formula is only as good
as the thinking behind it.

Most supplements are built once, on a fixed view of the science, and never revisited. Personally is built the other way around. Three things sit under every Formula.

  1. 01

Built to you, not picked for you

Most ‘personalized’ supplements route you to one of a few ready-made products. Personally formulates at the ingredient level: each dose titrated to your data, drawn from a 70+ evidence-assessed library, with your declared medications screened before anything is added.

  2. 02

    Keeps pace with the science

Every ingredient is assessed against the published research for the strength of its evidence, and that library is reassessed every month. Your formula reflects the current weight of evidence, not the version that was current the year it launched.

  3. 03

Morning and evening do different jobs

Your body doesn’t need the same things at 7am as it does at 10pm. The Formula is split to match that rhythm. The timing is pharmacological, not decorative.

RDAs began as 1940s population nutrition standards. Useful for public health. Not designed for your medications, symptoms, goals or monthly changes.

Dr Jatin Joshi

It’s the same problem Dr Jatin researches at Oxford: what to do when the evidence points in more than one direction. Here, the answer is built into the product.

What we believe

There comes a moment.
Most people can name it.

The moment your body changed. Sleep got harder. Energy disappeared. A medication changed everything, or hormones stopped following the old rules.

Most of health never notices. It keeps serving the average. But there is no average body. And no body stays the same.

We believe health should pay attention. It should listen. It should adapt, month after month, not once and forever. For who you are now, not who you used to be.

Because your body changed, and your health should keep up.
